French President Emmanuel Macron said that wars lead to famine and poverty, stressing that the war in Ukraine is changing our lives in Europe.
In his word before a conference for peace in Italy organized by the Sant'Egidio Association, Macron added that he had repeatedly spoken with Putin about the repercussions of the war in Ukraine and its negative consequences.
He also stressed that Ukraine is defending its borders and national sovereignty, noting that peace should not be the law of the strongest.
The French president stressed that we must go to the Russian people to tell them that this war is not your war, stressing that "The war in Ukraine affected us greatly because it brought wars back to our continent."
