Ahmed Abboud, a representative of the Federation of Balloon Companies, stated that Luxor is one of the top cities in the world for operating hot air balloon flights, and it has achieved the third position in world ranking.
Abboud revealed that Luxor is witnessing a surge in tourism and is attracting international figures who come to enjoy their vacations in the city, which hosts two-thirds of the world's antiquities.
He added that on Saturday alone, 62 balloon flights, carrying 1,400 tourists from different nationalities around the world, flew over the valleys and temples of kings and queens.
Abboud further explained that all balloon companies strictly adhere to the civil aviation instructions that ensure the safety and security of passengers. "These instructions include sterilizing the balloons using heat reagents, disinfectants, and masks. Additionally, each flight follows the maximum number of passengers specified by the Civil Aviation Authority."
It's worth mentioning that Luxor Governorate currently includes 19 companies working in serving tourists via flying balloons, and it has 8 models of Balloon basket, which includes a capacity starting from 2 passengers, 6, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, and 32 passengers.
