"Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers" is back in Egyptian cinema

VOX Cinemas are screening a modified version of "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" after it was altered to fit IMAX and 4K resolution.

A Blu-ray version of director Peter Jackson's trilogy was released last December.

The plot centers around Frodo and Sam's journey to Mordor to confront Saruman, who allied with Sauron and his legions of the Isengard forces.

"Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" is the second instalment in the world-famous trilogy, which was first released in 2002.

It achieved huge success at the box office and earned over $ 936 million worldwide and two Oscars. The film is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential films ever made.

"The Fellowship of the Ring", the first movie in the trilogy, is turning 20 years old on March 13.
