Napoli's head coach Carlo Ancelotti described Liverpool as the best team in Europe. Napoli are set to kick off their adventure in the UEFA Champions League against Liverpool in the group stage at San Paolo Stadium.

"The Reds have improved so much, as the last season gave them much awareness and confidence," Ancelotti said during the pre-match conference.

"It will be a difficult encounter as we will face the best team in Europe. We hope to achieve the same result that we got during the last season," he added.

"Liverpool are among the favorites for winning the Premier League," the Italian manager stressed.

"My biggest losses and my stunning moments are related to Liverpool's confrontations, as I lost two finals versus them; one as a player with Roma and the other as Milan's manager, while I won one," the 60-year-old coach remarked according to Mirror.

Earlier today, Liverpool headed to Italy, where they will begin their campaign of defending their Champions League crown against Napoli.

Liverpool's head coach Jürgen Klopp named his 20-man squad for the Champions League opening game as it witnessed the absence of  the Belgian striker Divock Origi  due to his ankle injury.

Defenders: Van Dijk, Lovren, Gomez, Robertson, Matip, Alexander-Arnold

Midfielders: Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Milner, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana
