On Wednesday, the spokesman for the Libyan Parliament Abdullah Blehiq said that the new government, headed by Prime Minister Fathi Bashagha, will be sworn in on Thursday at noon in the eastern city of Tobruk.

This comes one day after Bashagha has received parliament's confidence for his cabinet of 29 ministers, six state ministers, and three deputy prime ministers.

This new government has split Libyans into two opinions: supporters and opponents. Meanwhile, Dbeibah’s unity government said it would remain in power until it holds parliamentary elections in June.
