On Wednesday, the General Command of the Libyan National Army (LNA) warned against any attempts to violate the sovereignty of the Libyan territories, whether by penetrating the territorial waters, the land borders of the state, or the national airspace.
According to a statement by LNA Spokesman Ahmed Al-Mismari on his Facebook page, he added that the LNA-affiliated warning units have monitored an attempt of foreign aircraft to enter the Libyan airspace.
He added that those aircraft have no prior coordination or permission from the Libyan competent authorities entrusted with the task of setting the necessary arrangements for the aircraft to cross the Libyan airspace through internationally known lines or exceptional aviation.
Accordingly, the LNA General Command said that penetrating the Libyan airspace may expose these aircraft to the risk of interception and destruction by the LNA air defense forces.
