On Tuesday, the Libyan Members of Parliament (MPs) agreed to hold their next session in Ghadames on December 21-22 2020.

This came during the MPs session held today in Ghadames, where they discussed very important issues hindering the reunification of the parliament.

The meeting comes within the framework of efforts to unify the Libyan Parliament in order to be able to accomplish the constitutional obligations entrusted to it.

In a statement, the House clarified that during the coming session, scheduled for December 21st, the MPs will discuss the re-election of the Libyan Parliament Presidency office, in addition to approving the parliamentary session of the Libyan House of Representatives by six months for each session, and the regulations will be amended accordingly.

On December 22, the re-election of parliamentary committees will be discussed. A temporary technical committee will be formed (policy making, communication about sovereign positions, etc.)
