Chairman of Libya’s National Oil Corporation, Farhat Bengdara, met with the Head of the EU Delegation to Libya, Nicolas Orlando, to discuss cooperation in sustainable development in the oil, gas, renewable energy, and environmental protection sectors, including energy integration.
Libyan television channel "Al-Wasat" reported that both parties agreed during their meeting in Tripoli on Monday to collaborate on reducing methane gas emissions and supporting Libya’s commitment to ending gas flaring.
Orlando emphasized that increasing Libya’s oil and gas production sustainably, while leveraging its vast potential in renewable energy, are shared priorities. He also expressed the EU's eagerness to deepen its partnership with Libya in sustainable energy.
