British Prime Minister(PM) Rishi Sunak made for the United States of America for meetings with US President Joe Biden and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in San Diego to hammer out a major defense deal.
The meeting schedule also includes discussing Australia's purchase of nuclear-powered submarines, under the OKUS agreement, according to British news agency BA Media.
Albanese is expected to announce a plan for a British-designed fleet, with the purchase of American boats, in a measure to fill the gap.
While on the Pacific West Coast of the United States on Monday, Sunak is also due to unveil the new Integrated Review of Defense and Foreign Policy, which has been updated in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
