Russian Foreign Minister (FM) Sergey Lavrov has expressed his support for the idea of relocating UN headquarters to another country.
Lavrov responded to a journalist's question about whether the time was right now for the United Nations to leave New York City by saying: "I think that would be good."
It is worth mentioning that the Russian FM had arrived at the United Nations headquarters on Monday.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov stressed that there are no plans to organize a meeting between top Russian and US diplomats, Sergey Lavrov and Antony Blinken, on the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council events.
