Sonic the Hedgehog is an American live action-adventure-comedy movie that was produced in 2020. It was based on the Sonic video game franchise owned by Sega.
The movie follows Sonic, a lonely hedgehog, who teams up with deputy Tom Wachowski against villainous Dr. Robotnik, who seeks to capture Sonic and use his immense powers for world domination.
The film has grossed $306.5 million globally, as of March 15, 2020, becoming both the "second-highest-grossing film of 2020" and the "highest-grossing video game film" of all time in North America.
It scored 64% from Rotten Tomatoes, 6.7/10 from IMDb, and 47% from Metacritic, while 95% of Google users liked it.
