The last 2021 meteor shower in 2021, the Ursid meteor shower, will be peaked tonight, following the December solstice.

People can observe from five to ten meteors per hour, according to NASA, and the process of observing the tiny lighting objects could be clear as tonight is the longest and darkest night of the year.

This event could be a pre-Christmas gift, and the winter stars group, including the famous Christmas stars, start to shine beautifully in the sky.

It is worthy to mention that 2021 saw several unique sky events such as the rise of the Cold moon.

The final full moon in 2021 appeared in the sky last Saturday. December’s full moon phenomenon will last for three successive days, and it can be, for sure, spotted by the naked eye.

Early December, the final solar eclipse in 2021 hit the sky. The event was observed as a total eclipse where the moon will cover 103% of the Sun’s surface only in Antarctica.

On the other hand, it was seen as a partial one in the Southern parts of Australia, the southern parts of Latin America, the Pacific Ocean region, the Indian Ocean region, and the southern parts of Africa. In addition, it will last for more than four hours.

Late November, a rare blood phenomenon haunted the sky in several countries around the world as a result of a partial lunar eclipse which is the final one in 2021.

The lunar eclipse event was the longest since February 1440 as it lasted for three hours, 28 minutes, and 23 seconds, according to NASA.
