The massive Ozone Layer hole is sized larger than Antarctica is finally closing this week, the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday.
The hole has been observed by atmospheric scientists since the early days of 2021.
It reached a massive new extent as it became bigger than the whole continent in September.
Researchers who are responsible for monitoring the activity of the liar detected that the hole is growing faster than usual, and it is bigger by 75 than previous seasonal holes that have been observed since 1979.
The seasonal ozone layer’s holes take place in winter above Antarctica as the sun rays cause the ozone-connected components to deplete due to the transformation of the chlorine and other ozone layers connected units to the stratosphere.
In the same context, the European Union’s program for observing the activity of the Earth, Copernicus, said in a statement that the 2021 seasonal ozone layer hole "has evolved into a rather larger than usual one."
