Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid confirmed that "no one in the world believes that Gaza should be handed over to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas" immediately after the war.
Lapid mocked Netanyahu as he is "intentionally inventing the controversy about such matters.
In a series of tweets he wrote on his account on the “X” platform, Lapid said, “While soldiers are being killed in Gaza, Netanyahu invented the controversy.
Lapid revealed that Netanyahu quarreled with the United States, just as he quarreled with him, Benny Gantz, and Gadi Eisenkot despite the two later being members of the war cabinet in Israel.
Lapid continued: “The answer is that Netanyahu is doing what he has been doing all his life: incitement, lying, and producing hatred, and now he is only doing so in the midst of a bitter war, where soldiers are killed every day.
He revealed that Netanyahu has not learned anything from October 7, and the disaster has not changed him because he is unable to admit his guilt.
He stressed that this man cannot continue leading as he is too dangerous.
