Kuwaiti sources revealed, that the Ministry of Health is intending to import about 4 million doses of Coronavirus vaccine from 5 global sources.

Earlier this month, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the registration of the first Coronavirus vaccine in the world, indicating that Russia will soon begin producing this vaccine on a large scale, according to “Russia Today”.

Alexander Gintsburg, director of Russia’s Gamaleya National Research Centre has revealed how the world’s first vaccine will work against the SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.

In press statements, he claimed that Coronavirus particles used in the anti-COVID-19 vaccine cannot harm the human body, according to Sputnik News Agency.

“The drug used inanimate particles created on the basis of adenovirus,” he said, adding that there are no concerns that the vaccine could potentially cause harm to a person’s health.

The particles and objects that can reproduce their own kind are the ones that are considered alive. The particles in question cannot multiply,” Gintsburg stressed.

The vaccine, which has been developed jointly by the Gamaleya Research Institute and the Russian Defence Ministry, is set to get official registration this week amid its final phase of testing, according to Times Now News.

The vaccine clinical trials began on June 18. Gridnev had said that the effectiveness of the vaccine will be decided when the population has developed an immunity.

It is worth mentioning that, Russia is one of several countries racing to be the first to develop a coronavirus vaccine to halt the pandemic that has so far killed at least 727,288 people worldwide.
