In response to escalating security concerns in the region, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reiterated its advisory for all Kuwaiti citizens to avoid traveling to Lebanon.
The Ministry has urged Kuwaiti nationals currently in Lebanon to leave immediately unless their presence is essential.
The Ministry's statement emphasized the need for Kuwaiti citizens in Lebanon to depart at the earliest opportunity.
It also advised those unable to leave to contact the Kuwaiti Embassy in Lebanon via the emergency phone number: +96171171441.
This advisory comes amidst growing tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. Hezbollah's Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah recently threatened Israel with attacks by land, sea, and air if it initiates a war against Lebanon.
Nasrallah also warned the Cypriot government against allowing its facilities to be used for launching attacks on Lebanon.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant responded by accusing Hezbollah of instigating the conflict, asserting that Israel has an obligation to change the situation.
An Israeli political official, quoted by the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, warned that if Hezbollah continues its attacks, southern Lebanon could face the same fate as Gaza.
Since Hamas launched the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation on October 7, 2023, leading to a devastating war on Gaza, Hezbollah has continued its operations against Israel.
The southern Lebanese border has witnessed a significant increase in hostilities, with numerous calls for a ceasefire and restraint from all parties to prevent further escalation.
