KSA's Al Nassr are considering sacking its coach Luis Castro after the upcoming fixture against Saudi Al Ahli next Friday, reports indicated on Monday.
According to the Saudi newspaper Okaz reported that Al Nassr's administration have decided that Castro will not continue with the first football team, and his dismissal will be announced after the end of the team’s next match.
The newspaper added that the Italian coach Stefano Pioli is the closest to fill the position.
Castro failed to lead Al Nassr to achieve any title during the 2023-24 season, including losing the final of the King's Cup, and Saudi Super Cup, and bidding farewell to the latest AFC Champions League from the quarter-finals.
Al-Nassr finished second in the Saudi Pro League, 14 points behind Al-Hilal, the champions.
