Islam Kortam, Chairman of the KO Squad the official sponsor for this year's 2020 Mr. Olympia winner Big Ramy announced that a huge celebration will be held in the pyramids area in honor of the champion on Thursday.
Big Ramy is set to arrive at 11:00 Am on Thursday at the Cairo Airport and will be received by Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy. He will then head to the Pyramids area for the grand celebration scheduled to be held at 3:00 PM.
Kortam, who is often seen as the godfather for inpidual sports in Egypt, announced that the celebration will be held at one of the biggest hotels in the pyramids area in honor of the great champions, where a press conference will be held.
Kortam Highlights Big Ramy's Victory
The Egyptian businessman affirmed that Big Ramy’s victory, came at a very hard and crucial time as the world is currently going through one of it’s worst pandemics in history in the form of COVID-19 and that the champion had to overcome countless obstacles to become the first Egyptian and second Arab to claim the coveted title.

Kortam, who currently sponsors Big Ramy, expressed his joy that an Egyptian athlete reached the highest stages of one of the most popular sports in the world- bodybuilding. He was able to shine on the grandest stages, affirming that this is a great victory for Egypt and Egypt’s youth.
The KO Squad founder, who also sponsors more than 64 athletes, revealed that he plans to enable athletes to reach Mohamed Salah and Big Ramy status of success to inspire Egypt’s youth that anything is possible with enough hard work and determination.
Kortam thanked the Ministry of Youth and Sports for supporting Egyptian athletes in every field, affirming that sports aren’t just limited to competitions, but are also great mechanisms for cultural exchange between nations and contribute greatly to a nation’s self image.
