CAIRO, Nov. 9 (SEE) - Korean Cultural Center in Cairo organized a festival titled "Egyptian Bread, Korean Salt" at one of Cairo's hotels.
The event came to conclude the Korean cuisine course hosted by the center for two months that aimed to spread the Korean food culture and culinary arts.
Three Korean chefs participated in the closing ceremony: Korean Embassy's cooker Bik Song Hu, who presented three of the most famous Korean dishes; Aw Gong Houa and Jo Gy Su.
The ceremony was attended by Sahar Bahgat, the Ministry of Tourism's consultant; Hala El-Khatib, Tourism Chamber's General Manager, and Moard Makram Presenter of food TV show "Al-Akeel".
South Korean ambassador to Egypt Yoon Yeocheol said: "I was surprised many Egyptians enjoyed Korean food, as I believed our food is not convenient for foreigners."
"Korean food, such as Kimshi, is healthy and delicious. It uses natural flavors and present dishes in an attractive way," he said.
"I feel grateful that Egyptian participants not only enjoyed Korean food, but they were curious to discover Korean culinary culture and learn Korean cooking arts as well," he concluded.
