South Korea reported on Tuesday a record number of Coronavirus deaths during the past 24 hours, as this is highest daily death rate in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic.
South Korea's Disease Control and Prevention Agency stated that it had recorded 40 deaths during the last 24 hours, while the total number of deaths reached 859.
The agency detected 1046 new cases during the previous day, which brings the total number of cases to 58,725, while the daily number of cases was less than a thousand during the past two days.
Yesterday, the Disease Control Agency stated that it had detected the Coronavirus new strain in three inpiduals who arrived in South Korea from London on December 22.
