Reda Ghandour, Alexandria Port Authority spokesman denied on Thursday what has been circulated via social media platforms “Facebook”, and “Twitter” lately about the strolling of at least four lions inside the port.
In press statements, Ghandour stressed that those rumors are baseless and the viral images are fake, having nothing to do with the ports of Alexandria and El-Dekheila.
He added that Alexandria port currently has a ship carrying livestock, and it was sent to Alexandria dock berth, stressing that no predators can be allowed to roam any port like this.
He also explained that the circulated images show only containers and a storage yard.
“Alexandria port is working normally,” he continued.
