US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said that Russia and China seek to "challenge the international order."
Kirby said during his press conference on Friday, “These two countries and their leaders act in different ways around the world in a way that contradicts our interests in the field of national security, and contradicts the interests of many of our allies and partners.”
He continued: "It is not surprising that these two leaders continue their attempts to strengthen these developing relations."
He considered that "what unites them is the desire to challenge the rules-based international order, and to challenge the network of relations between allies and partners favorable to the United States."
