On Thursday, Ayman Ahmed Abdel-Ghani, the leader of the fugitive Brotherhood, and the son in law of Khairat Al-Shater, Deputy Supreme Guide of the group, died in Istanbul, Turkey, due to Coronavirus.

Abdel-Ghani, who was involved in smuggling money to Turkey, was infected with Coronavirus a few days ago and was taken to hospital, but died as a result of the complications of the virus.

Khairat Al-Shater's son-in-law took the responsibility of communicating with the Supreme Administrative Committee of the group headed by Muhammad Abdul Rahman Al-Morsi, and he was one of those responsible for the “Rab'a” sit-in 2017.

A few months ago, the Egyptian Ministry of Interior announced the involvement of Khairat Al-Shater's son-in -law and several leaders of the group who fled to Turkey in the establishment of three secret networks aimed at smuggling foreign currency outside the country.

The Ministry of Interior also confirmed that the goal of these networks is to provide financial support to the organization’s elements to carry out a series of terrorist operations.

Also, these networks carry out their work in cooperation with several Brotherhood elements that run some companies in the country, which they use as a cover to finance their activities for the benefit of the organization.
