US Vice-President Kamala Harris's approval among Americans raised in the recent weeks by six points higher than President Joe Biden, RT reported on Thursday.
Moreover, 49% of people participated at the poll approved Harris' job as a vice president, on the other hand, Biden's popularity and approval as President fell six points to reach 43%.
In the same context, Harris' poll's numbers as Vice President is the same as Biden got in latest polls in 2009 while serving as a Vice President in the Obama Administration.
It is worthy to mention that the US President's popularity dropped to its lowest level ever since he took office early this year according to a new poll conducted by Reuters and Ipsos.
The poll highlighted that US citizens have showed heavy criticism for Biden’s responses to various situations such as his strategy of competing against the pandemic.
The survey took place on September 15, and 16 and it showed that 50% of adult participants were not convinced by the President’s performance in the office, while only 44% liked his performance.
On the other hand, about 6% of the adult performance couldn’t evaluate Biden’s office performance.
Regarding his response to the pandemic, less than 50% of the participants approved Biden’s policies, while, 46% disapproved his measures.
The President’s popularity started to sink down in middle August due to the recent chaotic developments in US-Afghanistan relationship, and the death of dozens of US officers who served in Afghanistan in a terrorist Kabul Airport attack last month.
In addition, his popularity were negatively impacted by his latest strict restrictive strategy against COVID-19, which was described by the Republicans as an overacting response toward the pandemic.
