June 30, 2013 will remain one of the most crucial and greatest defining days in the history of Egypt. It's the day when millions of splendid Egyptian citizens came together and took to the streets to demonstrate against the "forces of evil and darkness" in order to regain their identity and save their country from chaos and collapse.

Meanwhile, the armed forces led by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi responded to the people's call and aligned themselves with the masses' free will, so that the June 30 revolution would inaugurate a new era in the history of Egypt and the region alike.

Indeed, this movement changed our territory and helped us to escape this long dark tunnel. The great June 30 revolution was not just an uprising to topple down a regime that was totally rejected by the masses, but it was really an epic and a starting point for a new era of construction.

It is also the cornerstone for building a new state or a second republic that will regain Egypt's status and glory.

I also would like to make the best use of this occasion to convey our greetings and appreciation to President El-Sisi —the symbol of the June 30 revolution—who answered the call of the people for real change, protected their free will, and succeeded in achieving the goals of his revolution.

The President also saved the country from the imminent civil war and religious fascism, and his revolution began by building up the new state that we are all proud of.

It is also important to acknowledge the significant role played by the heroes of the armed forces and police in providing security and safety for their own country and protecting the people from the clutches of terrorism.

I also send our sincere greetings to our valiant armed forces, the pillar of the Egyptian state, and the faithful protector of the people’s interests and capabilities. They always stand with people in times of struggle and crisis, empower them, and help them in their development.

As you know, the previous ten years have seen considerable achievements in the building and construction sectors.

The state's huge and successful experience in these sectors can also be seen as a national epic that speaks to everyone. Overall, it's a the vision and work of our sincere national leader, armed forces, government, police, parliament, and all state institutions.

President El-Sisi has set great ambitions and a path for our country since the first day. As he said, "My program is a vision touching the sky. I dream of making my country a great state, and making a great leap forward."

He hoped that his work will lead to tangible results commensurate with the ambitions and expectations of people.

And that is what has already happened during the few years since Egypt came a long way from being an exhausted country with several social, economic, and security issues to a new, stable, and prosperous country.

Since he took office, Egypt has rapidly moved from a deplorable state, in which the wheel of production stopped, and unemployment increased drastically to restore its regular services and even provided post-revolution of 2011 recovery and rehabilitation.

President El-Sisi succeeded in transforming the challenges into new opportunities for Egyptians who had to face instantaneous shortages in basic commodities, fuels, and electricity before June 30.

Also, El-Sisi was the first president to set a future vision that aims to put Egypt on the list of the 30 largest economies in the world, and focuses on raising the income of individuals to triple by 2030.

During his era, the domestic economy grew rapidly, and Egypt embarked on an ambitious plan to implement several large national projects and establish new foreign relations that redesigned Egypt's regional map, to stimulate international investment sector participation in the development process across different sectors.

Moreover, Egypt's location is being exploited to become a global logistical centre by establishing developing and renovating ports, infrastructure, and a road network.

We saw the president establishing new modern and smart cities, such as New Damietta, New Mansoura, and New Sohag.

He further eliminated waiting lists of people in need of help, launching campaigns for comprehensive health insurance. In addition to this, he has a significant achievement in eradicating the hepatitis C virus, as well as enhancing education, health and wage allowances.

At the same time, he launched the largest social project in the world, a decent life, with the aim to build hundreds of thousands of suitable housing units, eliminate slums and create thousands of opportunities.

In short, what the President has done in terms of sustainable projects and boarders agreements launched for the past years is an example of the success we have reached so far.

The scale of the current challenges is indeed enormous and unprecedented; however, despite such challenges, the June 30 revolution remains an example of how the will of the people is indomitable.
