On Wednesday, it was officially confirmed that Portuguese coach Jose Gomes is leaving Egyptian Premier League side Al Zamalek.
Earlier reports claimed that Gomes is heading to Saudi Pro League's club Al Fath, which bottoms the standings of the Roshen league.
On Wednesday, Gomes went to Al Zamalek to say goodbye to the players.
It was reported also that Gomes will leave with his assistant team, including Ahmed Magdy.
The mid-season departure of the Portuguese coach was described as a shock to the team by Al Zamalek icon Mido.
Al Zamalek are second on the Egyptian Premier League standings after four rounds, in addition to leading their group in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Al Zamalek are set to face Al Masry in the CAF Confederation Cup.
