Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed his gratitude to President Abdel Fattah Sisi’s support during Abe’s recent hard times due to his illness.
“Dear President El Sisi: I sincerely appreciate President’s significant support including co-chairing at TICAD7 last year,” the Japanese prime minister posted on the Facebook page in English and Japanese.
He added that “I hope for enhanced cooperation in various areas between two countries that possess great potential.”
Five days ago, President Sisi wished the Japanese premier a speedy recovery after the later had submitted his resignation due to health concerns.
“I would like to express my appreciation and respect to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe, whom I do wish a speedy recovery. This patriotic statesman gave Japan his all. He is a friend and a supportive partner to Egypt who has made significant contributions to enhancing the distinguished mutual cooperation and extended friendship between Egypt and Japan,” President Sisi tweeted on Saturday.
