Oka Hiroshi, the Japanese ambassador to Egypt, welcomed the economic conference, which is currently being held by the Egyptian government.
In a press remark to a ' local newspaper', the Japanese ambassador added that this conference reflects the seriousness of the Egyptian government about reform, noting that it also fully comes in line with the policies laid out in the "State Ownership Policy Document", which will provide more space for the private sector.
Moreover, Oka added that this conference, which is being held in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, sends a strong message to the world that Egypt cares about investors.
In this regard, the Japanese ambassador explained that the foreign direct investment from Japan to Egypt last year was six times greater than the previous year.
"I would like to congratulate the Egyptian government on this economic conference... Japan looks forward to working closely with Egypt to support its economic growth," he said.
