Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Houthi continued attacks on ships.
In a statement, The ministry said, "We strongly condemn the continued attacks, including the latest attack, carried out by the Houthis since last November on ships sailing in the waters surrounding the Arabian Peninsula, including the Red Sea."
The Japanese Foreign Ministry also expressed its condolences to the families of the victims of the March 6 attack on a commercial ship flying the flag of Barbados in the Gulf of Aden.
The statement affirmed that Japan will continue to fulfill its responsibility to ensure the rights and freedoms of navigation and take necessary measures, while continuing to cooperate closely with the concerned countries.
