Actress Jamie Lee Curtis is coming under fire for comparing the wildfires currently ravaging the Los Angeles area to the ongoing war in Gaza.
A video of the 66-year-old Oscar-winning actress making the comments at a press conference has gone viral.
Curtis said: “I was born and raised in Placidus and the whole city is gone, I mean literally the neighborhood I lived in is gone, my house is still there tonight but I live in a different valley. The whole area unfortunately looks like Gaza, or one of these war-torn countries where horrible things have happened.”
“I live in California and you wouldn’t find me comparing these fires to Gaza,” one person wrote.
“That’s not a good comparison,” another replied.
