Today, Friday, Israeli media reported that armored commander, Colonel Shaldag Zeour, was killed in battles west of Gaza, noting that he is the highest-ranking among the Israeli army killed, so far.
The media said: “The armored commander, Colonel Shaldag Zeour, was killed in the battles west of Gaza, and his conscript secretary, Annie Owaidan, was killed.
Shaldag is considered the highest-ranking Israeli army fatality, until this moment.”
Hamas confirmed earlier today, Friday, that the Israeli army's losses were heavy in the Gaza Strip. Pointing out that Tel Aviv has expanded its targeting of most hospitals in Gaza City.
This comes against the backdrop of the Israeli military escalation that the Gaza Strip has been witnessing for more than a month, after the Hamas movement, at dawn on Saturday, October 7, launched Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood,” in which thousands of rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip at Israel, and its forces stormed Israeli settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip, and killed and captured a large number of Israeli soldiers and civilians.
