For 1st Time... Israeli Amb., His Sudanese Counterpart Hold Talks

The Israeli ambassador to the UN, Gilad Ardan met, on Thursday, his Sudanese counterpart Omar Siddiq.

Sudanese media quoted Ardan saying that this is the first historic meeting of the Sudanese delegation to the United Nations.

“First historic meeting with Sudan's UN Mission and Ambassador Omer Siddig! To translate peace between our nations into action, we will begin cooperating in agriculture, water, and our common fight against coronavirus,” the Israeli ambassador wrote on Twitter. “ I feel honored to represent Israel during this period.”

The Sudanese media also stated that he has not disclosed that public meetings were held between the two parties since the announcement of normalization between Israel and Sudan.
