Israel 'Very Sorry' for Journalist Death in South of Lebanon

On Saturday, the Israeli army said that it was “very sorry” for the death of a journalist who was killed in a shelling in the South of Lebanon.

Military Spokesperson Richard Hecht said: “We are very sorry for the journalist’s death.

His statements came as an answer when he was asked about the killing of the Reuters videographer on Friday. 

Hecht added: “We are looking into it."

On Friday, a Reuters journalist was killed and six other journalists were injured in the South of Lebanon as Israel fired missiles on the cross-border between the Israeli and Lebanese sides.

The attacked journalists work for Al Jazeera and Agence France-Presse.

Lebanese Army said that Israel was behind the rocket fire that hit journalists.
