The Israeli government has officially extended the nationwide state of emergency until 30 June, following a dramatic escalation in hostilities with Iran.
According to *Yedioth Ahronoth*, the extension applies specifically to the Home Front Command, underscoring heightened concerns over continued threats to civilian areas.
The announcement came shortly after Iran launched a fresh barrage of ballistic missiles toward Israeli territory in retaliation for an Israeli airstrike that reportedly targeted Tehran.
Iranian state media confirmed that the missile attack was launched from multiple regions across the country.
Air raid sirens blared across major Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Ashdod, as well as numerous settlements. The Israeli military said it detected the launch of 50 missiles and initiated immediate interception measures.
Israel's Air Force confirmed that several intercept missions were underway to neutralize incoming threats and protect key infrastructure.
