Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas (nicknamed Abu Mazen) decided to assign the Palestine Mission in New York to take immediate action in the United Nations (UN) and the Security Council, to condemn and stop the attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem by members of the Israeli government and extremist groups, in a serious violation of the historical and legal status in occupied Jerusalem.

Abu Mazen stressed the importance of this international movement to stop this dangerous Israeli escalation against Islamic and Christian sanctities, noting that this move is taking place in coordination with the brothers in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and working with brotherly and friendly groups in the United Nations.

The right-wing Israeli Minister of Internal Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, stormed this morning the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, from the side of the Mughrabi Gate, under heavy security from the Israeli occupation police.

The storming came, contrary to Israeli reports, according to which Bin Juffair retracted his storming of Al-Aqsa, after the meeting that brought him together, on Monday evening, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
