Iraqi Demonstrators Announce  Establishment of   Open Sit-in inside   Parliament

Today, Saturday, Iraqi demonstrators announced an open sit-in inside parliament in the capital, Baghdad, according to Iraqi media.

The demonstrators entered the parliament building in the Green Zone, after bypassing the concrete barriers leading to the area.

Today, Saturday, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, directed the security forces to protect the demonstrators, calling on the demonstrators to remain peaceful in their movement, not to escalate, and to abide by the directives of the security forces whose goal is to protect them, and to protect official institutions.

However, the Iraqi Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the demonstrations has so far reached 125 civilians and soldiers.

The ministry said - in a statement reported by (Alsumaria News), an Iraqi  news channel - that "the number of injuries received by the Iraqi Ministry of Health hospitals today, Saturday, has so far 125, including 100 civilians and 25 military personnel."
