Iran's Ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, was injured on Tuesday in a pager device explosion, according to reports from Iranian media. The incident is part of a series of similar explosions that have left hundreds of Hezbollah members severely wounded across the country.

The Iranian news agency Fars reported that Ambassador Amani sustained minor injuries in the blast and was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment. The Iranian Embassy in Lebanon confirmed the ambassador’s condition, stating that he suffered a superficial wound and is in stable health.

This wave of explosions, which targeted communication devices, appears to be part of a broader cyberattack in Lebanon. The attacks, primarily affecting Hezbollah members, have led to widespread injuries, overwhelming medical services in the region.

Lebanon's medical community is mobilizing in response. Youssef Bakhash, the head of the Lebanese Order of Physicians, issued an urgent call for doctors to report to hospitals and clinics immediately to assist in treating the growing number of injured.

The explosions occurred after a reported cyberattack targeting portable communication devices, including pagers, carried by Hezbollah members in different locations across Lebanon. These attacks have left hundreds of individuals with severe injuries, adding to the pressure on Lebanon's already strained healthcare system.

The cause of the cyberattack and the full extent of its damage are still under investigation, but the coordinated nature of the incidents has raised concerns about the growing use of technology in conflict zones and the vulnerability of communication systems
