Iran to Build Full Nuclear Complex in Fars

The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran announced Tehran's intention to establish a comprehensive nuclear complex in Fars province, given the province's potential.

On Monday, during the inauguration ceremony of a project related to radiation, Mohammad Eslami, the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said the development of radiation at the country level is one of the important issues according to the plan that will be implemented in the industrial city of Shiraz, according to Mehr news agency.

Eslami added that this plan can be used in issues related to food irradiation and other fields.

He stated that gamma and plasma development is another plan that has been used in the country and can be used in various fields such as medicine and agriculture.

He referred to the organization's plan to establish a full nuclear site in Fars province, hoping that it will be used for educational and industrial activities in the province through the establishment of a new reactor.

The role of this special plan in developing technology in Fars province, explaining that this plan could be launched during the next year, according to Eslami.
