Iranian media outlets reported Tuesday that several senior Israeli intelligence officials were killed in a missile strike launched by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on facilities in Tel Aviv.
According to the semi-official Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC targeted key Israeli intelligence infrastructure — including the Military Intelligence Directorate (Aman) and the Mossad headquarters — with what it described as a newly developed, precision-guided missile. The attack reportedly occurred early in the morning, bypassing advanced air defense systems and striking the intended sites north of Tel Aviv.
Iranian sources claimed the strike caused significant casualties among high-ranking Israeli intelligence and security personnel. "A large number of senior officers involved in espionage and intelligence operations were killed," the report stated.
The IRGC released a statement confirming responsibility for the operation, calling it a "pivotal and effective" mission. It said the targeted sites served as centers for planning assassinations and sabotage operations against Iran and its allies. The statement added that the Mossad facility caught fire following the missile impact.
