Newly-promoted to the English Premier League side Ipswich renewed the contract with their coach Kieran McKenna for more four year.

McKenna signed a new contract to manage Ipswich in the Premier League in the next season despite interest from Brighton, Chelsea and Manchester United.

McKenna has been the interest of several clubs after managing Ipswich to reach the Premier League, and capturing the Championship title.

He becomes one of the highest-paid managers in England and will be backed significantly as Ipswich prepare for their first run in the Premier League since 2000-2001.

Chelsea were interested in signing him as a candidate for them before the arrival of Enzo Maresca.

McKenna said after re-signing with Ipswich: “I am extremely proud to have signed a new contract with the club. We have enjoyed incredible success together over the last two seasons and I’m excited to have the opportunity and responsibility of leading this fantastic club into its first season in the Premier League in 22 years.”
