In collaboration with the National Coordinating Committee for Combating and Preventing Illegal Migration and Trafficking in Persons (NCCPIM&TiP), IOM in Egypt celebrated the end of the “Art Competition on the Risks Associated to Irregular Migration and the Protection of Vulnerable Migrants“ with an awards ceremony for the participants of the competition on Thursday, April 13.
The ceremony marks the third round of this art competition aiming to raise awareness of the dangers of irregular migration and the risks associated with it from organized networks of transnational criminal organizations.
This initiative was launched with the generous support offered by the European Union and Italy under the project “Regional Development and Protection Programme (RDPP)”, and by the Italian Ministry of Interior under the project “Aware Migrants”.
The awards ceremony was also generously funded by the U.S. Department of State: Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration through the Africa Regional Migration Program (ARMP) Sub-regional office in Cairo.
