Dr. Mohamed El-Gayyar, Vice President of the Free Zone Investors Association in Nasr City, stressed the need to work on developing Egyptian exports during the current stage, as it is one of the most important sources of foreign exchange.
Al-Gayyar said that achieving President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's plan to reach $100 billion in exports is not difficult, but it requires concerted efforts between the government and the private sector and good coordination in this regard.
Al-Gayyar identified several key factors that must be worked on to achieve this ambitious plan.
These factors are represented in identifying the target markets and studying them well to identify their needs and the types of items required.
He added that the second factor includes the government's support for the participation of Egyptian exporters in specialized foreign exhibitions, pointing out that the presence in these exhibitions is a major means of introducing Egyptian products, their quality, specifications, and prices.
He pointed out that the majority of countries support exporters and give them great incentives to enable them to compete in global markets such as Turkey, India, and China.
