Interior Minister Greets Sisi, Statesmen on July 23 Revolution Anniversary

Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik sent on Tuesday a cable of greetings to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on the 68th anniversary of the July 23, 1952, Revolution.

Egypt will mark the 68th anniversary of the revolution on Thursday.

Major General Tawfik graduated from the Police College in 1982 and joined the National Security Sector. He was promoted to the position of Assistant Minister for the Sector.

He also received the first class of excellence in 2016.

On June 14, 2018, a Republican decree was issued appointing him as Minister of Interior.

Tawfik also sent cables of greetings on the same occasions to the House of Representatives Speaker Ali Abdel Aal, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Defense Mohamed Zaki, and Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid.
