Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq, Minister of Interior congratulated the EgyptianArmed Forces on the celebration of the forty-ninth anniversary of the glorious October victories.
Tawfik was accompanied by a delegation of leaders from the Ministry of Interior. They were received by Lieutenant-General Mohamed Zaki, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Minister of Defense and Military Production.
Tawfiq confirmed that the great October victory will always remain a unique epic in the history of the Egyptian military.
He added that he will continue to bear witness to the heroism and sacrifices of the men of the armed forces who were able to prove with their immortal sacrifices that they are the best soldiers on earth.
Tawfik congratulated the men of the armed forces, commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers on this glorious national anniversary. He wished them more progress and prosperity, and may God protect Egypt and its valiant armed forces with all the best.
On his part, Zaki stressed that the armed forces and the police are the shield of the nation and the eyes that watch over its security. Together, they will remain at the forefront of the Egyptian people, defending their borders and providing for their sanctities and stability, setting the most wonderful examples of sacrificing the most precious to preserve the security of the homeland and complete the development process that the Egyptian state is implementing in all fields.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Interior presented Zaki and Lieutenant-General / Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces War, the police authority shield. Zaki also presented the shield of the armed forces to the Minister of Interior.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior commanders of the armed forces and leaders of the Ministry of Interior.
