Benfica's winger Angel Di Maria has been targeted by Major League Soccer (MLS) side Inter Miami, ESPN Argentina reported on Thursday.
The website reported that targeting Di Maria was driven by the hopes of the MLS club to reunite the Argentinian star with his country's team fellow.
Di Maria and Messi are longtime friends on the Argentina national team, and the duo played together at Paris Saint Germain.
However, it seems that Di Maria wouldn't join Inter Miami until the end of Copa America.
Di Maria would be the fourth ex-teammate of Messi's to join him at Inter Miami after Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.
Fabrizio Romano claimed, last year, that Inter Miami attempted to sign Angel Di Maria during his run as a free agent after his Juvi-exit.
