An Instagram outage left many users around the world locked out of their accounts on Halloween.
Some people received messages that their accounts had been suspended for violating community guidelines.
Users took to Twitter Monday morning to share reports of the outage using #instagramdown.
Moreover, Downdetector reported the disruptions began around 9 a.m. ET, with about 7,600 instances of outages on the platform around 10 a.m., falling to 2,700 reports of outages by 11:30 a.m.
In a statement posted on Twitter, Instagram said it was “aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account” and was “looking into it” and apologized for the inconvenience.
