Infographic: Numbers of Students in Higher Education System Annually

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research annually provides nearly 500,000 graduates since the 2014/2015 academic year.

The ministry has opened new tributaries for education, most notably the new private universities and foreign universities branches, in addition to opening a number of new technology universities as well.

In the following infographic, SeeNews review the most prominent numbers of students in the higher education system from 6 years now, particularly since June 30:

- 3 million male and female students enrolled in government universities and institutes

- 400 thousand male and female students annual increase since 2014/2015.

-500,000 graduates annually apply to the labor market and production

-219,763 students are enrolled in postgraduate studies at these institutions

-120 thousand faculty members and an aid staff member

-Increase of 16 thousand members since 2014/2015

-1,200 envoys, an increase of 600 envoys over 2014

- 72 thousand foreign students enrolled in higher education institutions
