Indonesia hopes that Russian President Vladimir Putin will be able to attend the G20 summit in Bali, which is only a few days away, according to ANTARA news agency.

The agency quoted Sethi Utama, the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia, that his country also hopes for the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the upcoming summit activities.

Utama noted that Indonesia wants the leaders of all the countries invited to attend the G20 summit personally.

"This applies to both Russia and Ukraine. We hope that the heads of these two countries will personally participate in the Bali summit," he added.

Earlier, it was reported that the Indonesian Foreign Ministry has so far confirmed the participation of only 17 heads of state in the summit. However, Jakarta did not mention the names of the countries that did not provide a response so far.

At the same time, neither Russia nor Ukraine, whose representatives have been invited to the summit, have announced whether their respective presidents will participate in the event.

It is noteworthy that Ukraine received an invitation to attend the meeting, although it is not part of the G20.
