During his visit to Aswan Governorate, Mr. Ajit Guptih, the Ambassador of India in Cairo, met with the Governor of Aswan, Major General Ashraf Attia. The ambassador said that he was keen to tour a number of investment projects in the fields of solar energy, agriculture and industry.
And during his tweet, His Excellency made an inspiring visit on March 27, 2023 to see the Benban solar energy project with a capacity of 250 megawatts, developed by the Indian company Sterling & Wilson, in the Benban Solar Park near Aswan in Upper Egypt.
The total solar capacity in Benban is 1.46 GW, with great potential for expansion
His Excellency also praised the strong and historical relations between Egypt and India, stressing keenness to increase trade exchange to $7.5 billion and encourage Indian investments in Egypt.
