President Abdel Fattah El Sisi toured on Friday a number of road, axis and overpass development projects in Greater Cairo, according to Presidency Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
Sisi also inspected the Historic Cairo development project and followed up the implementation of the plan to restore it to its grandeur for the ancient historical heritage it enjoys, thus regenerating Historic Cairo as a sophisticated tourist destination of a civilized, modern architectural character and with integrated services.
"The President also inspected the two renovated areas of Old Cairo and Sour Magra El-Oyoun (Magra El-Oyoun Wall), extending from Fam Al Khaleej (mouth of the gulf) to Salah El-Din Castle to supply it with water," said Rady.
During the tour, Sisi exchanged greetings with the citizens and workers in the pottery workshops in Old Egypt and also listened to their requests and needs.
The President further inspected the construction works of the Hassaballah Al-Kafrawi Axis, which links south Cairo with Maadi, extending along the Ring Road and Mehwar Al-Shaheed “Martyr Axis” overpasses, east Cairo, and New Cairo through El-Moshir Mohamed Fahmy Axis.
